Internet Explorer end of life 15th June 2022

The Internet Explorer 11 desktop application has been retired on June 15, 2022, for Windows 10 and earlier

Like many consumer users of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7,8,8.1 and 10 the one thing yu ,ay still be using is Microsoft’s Internet Browser, “Internet Explorer” or “IE”. Some commercial applications will still only work using IE.

However, from June 15th 2020, IE is no longer supported which means no more patches, security updates etc.

If you’re a consumer using Internet Explorer at home, we recommend you transition to Microsoft Edge before June 15, 2022, to start enjoying a faster, more secure and more modern browsing experience. The good news: you probably already have it on your device. Search for “Microsoft Edge” using the Windows 10 search box or look for the icon (see the top of this article). If you don’t have it, you can easily download it here. We’ve also aimed to make the upgrade to Microsoft Edge simple.
