21″ Apple iMac Speed Issues
Do you own or use a 21″ Apple iMac?
Have you replaced the HDD with an SSD yet?
If not … guaranteed it is lagging and running very slowly, constantly showing the spinning beachball (aka “Spinning Wheel of Death (SWOD)”, “Spinning rainbow pinwheel” , “Spinning ball”, “Spinning wheel”, “Spinning beach ball” etc.)
This means the computer will slowly become unusable and will stop working shortly with possible loss of data (see backing up an iMac)
The good news is iMac’s can be upgraded with an SSD by a qualified Mac Technician which can extend the iMac by another 5 years.
HDD are only guaranteed for 1 year …. SSD’s guaranteed for 3 or 5 years and run 4-10 times faster.
